Saturday 10 August 2013 at the New LOCATION, Calliope River Historical Village
The Rotary Club of Gladstone, will once again hold the Swap Meet & Car Boot Sale on the 10th August 2013. This is our fourth year and this year we are going to a new location at the Calliope River Historical Village (Bruce Highway) approximately 20kms out of Gladstone. The new and improved venue will give the Swappers and Market Stall holders a great new opportunity to display in grassy flat area that is looking sensational at the moment. To our visitors we will offer a bigger venue that will cope into the future expansion and continued development of the event.
Make no mistake this is a serious event for the Swap Meet vendors and customers with a bit new and old car parts, marine new and old parts, a great opportunity to buy a car with some bargains for all to see. There is also more for Mum and the kids with a great number of market stalls including fresh fruit and vegetable to name just a few, kids rides and entertainment with something for the whole family. This is an event for the whole family.
The major sponsor for the event over the last four years is once again McCosker Contracting, for which the Rotary Club of Gladstone again thank very much. We are still to finalise the other sponsors, but these are coming in thick and fast, make sure that you check back to see who the sponsors are.
The beneficiaries of the Swap Meet this year will be to a local organisation the Exodus Tutorial Centre Gladstone, the overseas Rotary project - Rotarians Against Malaria and the worldwide Rotary project - end polio now.
This is an alcohol free event, Rotary in action supporting families, local, international and worldwide charities - helping our community.
